Production Planner, Nashua, NH

essential duties & responsibilities
  • Oversee Enterprise Resource Planning from bill of materials to engineering masters to labor allocation to ensure electronic scheduling for hundreds of open work orders
  • Work with optical fabrication team to estimate fabrication time for new products that have up to 47 process steps
  • Coordinate with customers, program managers, scheduling & planning teams to keep production priorities up to date
  • Issue production work orders with specifications, detailed routings, release & shipping dates
  • Maintain AS9100D and ISO9000 compliant workflow in a 7S structure
  • Track daily work cell productivity and yields
  • Coordinate supply chain for 99% on time production launch
  • Ensure documentation and requirements are issued to staff in ERP system accurately
  • Communicate all schedule impacts in a timely manner and proactively manage planning to maintain 99% on-time delivery objectives while maintaining double digit growth
  • Maintain communication with all levels of employee and management using email, or other written systems for documentation
  • Responsible for maintaining production launch and staging area, and communicating appropriate production workflow
  • Update department presentation/slide-show communications on performance metrics for on-time delivery and quality
position requirements
  • High School diploma, or equivalent
  • Dedicated, high-energy person who focuses on continual improvement and has a history of success in similar roles
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to think creatively to find solutions to complex situations
  • Exceptional attention to details and specifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to summarize and document work
  • 3-7 Years optical manufacturing experience a plus
  • MRP/ERP operations experience, experience in Visual Manufacturing a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word software
