Electro Optical Assembly

Precision Optical Assembly to Build to Requirements or Print

Manufacturing quality cost-effective solutions delivered on-time, every time… Whether it is a lens assembly or an electro-optic system Clear Align can deliver. We provide build-to-print services, or design and build a system based upon your system-level requirements. We are dedicated to pushing the technical envelope and developing increasingly sophisticated and effective methodologies and integration strategies that differentiate your product in the market place. Clear Align’s optical manufacturing services include:

  • Imaging Systems
  • Laser and Fiber Optic Systems
  • Optoelectronic Packages

If you want to design and build your own optical systems, but want to reduce cost and development time compared to using components, Clear Align can provide the lens assembly, or “lens in a barrel.” Your solution will be thoroughly calibrated and tested, designed to your specifications, and ready for your product. Clear Align manufactures complete lens assemblies in house to satisfy stringent optical, mechanical, and environmental performance specifications – using a minimum number of optical elements. We know how to integrate even the most complex assemblies, including multi-axis assemblies, to provide high resolution and stability. Our diverse mounting and positioning technology (such as mirror mounts and lens holders) allows the right freedom of motion while delivering the performance needed. Our expert assembly team includes skilled engineers, technicians, and Quality Assurance personnel, capable of assembling optical, mechanical and electrical components, at high accuracy and high volumes. We use clean room assembly and air bearing alignment stations to obtain tight element centration. By using techniques, tools and materials that were specially developed by our assembly team, we can offer our customers assembled lenses with high MTBF, a wide temperature range of operation, and a high level of sealing for outdoor installations.

Cleanroom Assembly

At Clear Align, we deliver high-quality, precision optical assemblies by combining key factors — one of the most vital of which is cleanliness. We provide clean manufacturing operations ranging from Class 100,000 to Class 100. Our facility is equipped with ESD-safe assembly and testing stations to ensure the safe delivery of your ESD-sensitive electronic assemblies.

AS9100D & ISO 9000 Certified Quality Controls

Quality control isn’t just about parts inspection at Clear Align; our quality control system starts before design engineers boot up their computers. Clear Align uses a computer-controlled quality system at every workstation, and we continually review and update our process using SPC metrics. Whether we are building MIL-qualified, space-qualified, or medical devices, our QC system enables us to meet every delivery commitment. Our facility is fully ISO9000 and AS9100D compliant as verified by external auditors.

Manufacturing Controls

Clear Align has invested significantly in infrastructure that ensures on-time and quality delivery with electronic oversight of manufacturing including quality control. configuration management, supply chain management, and resource planning. Our paperless system ensures traceability and is compliant with key quality systems such as ISO9000, AS9100, and military specifications.

ITAR Compliance

Clear Align is compliant with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and has implemented measures to ensure secure program implementation for defense-related programs. All Clear Align staff members are US Citizens. All technical data are controlled, including information required for the design, development, production, integration, testing, maintenance, and modification of products or services originally created for military customers.
